This will probably be a little shorter cause I wrote less than a week ago and really not much has happened in these last couple of days. We had New Years and New Years Eve and we can't go out and tract and everyone is out partying and doing stuff so we can do much. So New years Eve we went to some members homes and had meals..I have seriously eaten so much food!!! haha. I got to try some Moose which is really good.... so I can now cross that off the list:)). I still need to try some reindeer but I haven't gotten to that yet:)). It is a lot of fun to be with the members cause you get to just kinda hang out and get to know them and their families. It's just a chill and relaxed comfortable environment to be in:). But we were there and the sisters joined us as well so that made it really fun. Our next family we went to it was just this older couple and they just stuffed us with a ton of ice cream haha. But that was a lot of fun cause her husband is not a member so it was a cool opportunity to be there. New Years day was our p-day and we planned on emailing... but as you can see that did not work out:). But we went and played some Frisbee golf!! That is so much fun and it's way cool...cause here in Finland you play like half on a field and then the other half is all in the woods. So it's so cool to just we wandering in the woods playing some Frisbee golf:)). It was raining and there was ice everywhere but it was a ton of fun just slipping and sliding through the woods:). Then we had nothing else to do because literally everything was closed, so we got on the metro for fun just to ride and then ended up at McDonalds. Turns out that was the place to be cause there was like 60 people in there, and yet they are still faster than American and can get your order right the first time haha. I do personally think though that it tastes better in America and for sure the Dr.Pepper tastes better in America!!:)) That's the little update on me for the past couple of days:) Sorry that it was so short this week but our schedule with the holidays have been really whacked:)
Being in Finland as a missionary is the coolest experience and you get to meet so many wonderful people..even the ones who don't like you and just want to tell you that you are wrong. I love all the people that I get to talk to. A Chinese guy on the metro yesterday was telling me about how all Christians have lost hope cause all the muslims are gonna take over France and then the entire world:)). You get some interesting conversations, that's for sure.. But it's so great when you get to talk to them. It is so much fun being a missionary and getting to do this great work. Even though sometimes it gets tough, there is always something that happens every day that makes it worth the hard times. The language is getting better I am proud to say... and it's only gonna keep getting better. One thing that is important that I have learned is that your attitude is everything. Your attitude affects everything that you do. If you have a good attitude with what you do, even if you are not good at whatever it is.If you have a good attitude about it and just learn to laugh at yourself and keep going even when you mess up.... everything gets better. SO that is my lesson for the week, have a good attitude with everything and look for the positive in what you are doing, and I promise you that you will always find that positive and so much more. Hope y'all had a great new years and I'll chat with ya in a few days:))
Love and miss y'all!!!
