Wednesday we had district council and that is always so much fun to get the whole district together. We have too much fun together:)). But we had a real good discussion and then we all ate lunch together and sat and chatted which was good. We went and had a good tracting block that night and really nobody wanted to listen to us which is okay...cause they will listen to us at another time. They are just not ready yet. But we were lucky that we got to visit with an investigator and their family for a little bit and that was a lot of fun. Their kids were running around and just so full of energy..it was pretty fun.
Thursday I was literally so scared!!! We had to go and give a school presentation in front of a bunch of high schoolers!! There were 25 of them, and we had 75 minutes to teach them about where our church comes from, and about the plan of salvation. Then some other random topics came up like the word of wisdom, temples, and so on. It went really well. They had some pretty good questions that we were able to answer and also were able to have some fun together. I think though it was more fun for them when we would ask them to repeat it again if we didn't understand something... but we got it all worked out. Only a little turned out to be in English..and the rest of this time was all in Finnish and was really testing.. me but we made it! And it went really well...so there are no complaints here. After that we went to a member who was so kind and offered us some way good burritos:) I won't turn down a good sweet pork burrito...it was way good. We had a lesson that night with an investigator and it was so much fun. We taught him the gospel of Jesus Christ and it went way good. We gave him a reading assignment and what was even better was after he read it he sent us a text asking if he understood correctly. SO COOL!
Friday was a pretty good day. We went out for a good morning tracting block and we got to talk to about 10 people which is better than some other morning blocks that I have had haha. Then for the usual Friday routine we had weekly planning and planned for the week to come. It is good to plan for the week but also when you start putting stuff in, you realize how busy you are gonna be and how fast the week is gonna go:))
Saturday we went and did the usual of playing soccer with the Nigerians... and I almost scored a goal!! I thought the ball had crossed the pole but the goalie stopped the ball between his leg and the pole which was not cool. Then we went to teach a lesson to one of our friends... and we taught the plan of salvation. Had to do a lot of question answering and backing up stuff from the bible cause they were not buying really any of the stuff we said. But hopefully they will do some more studying and come to find out that what we said was true and is true. We had an evening planned to find some former investigators and we ended up getting called over to give some blessings for a member family. It was such a cool experience.... and being able to give people blessings is such a cool opportunity. I remember the first time I gave a blessing and I was terrified. But now I can do it without freaking out so win for me haha.
Sunday was Mother's day and yes church was good but lets be honest. The part that I was looking forward to was dinner and calling home!! We went to a members house and we had this Alaskan halibut soup and it was wayyy good. Then we got to call home!!! So much fun to talk to the fam and get to see them again. And to get to see my lil puppers, I miss that little fella. But it was really good to be able to talk to family and just hang out with them for a little bit.
Yesterday we were so busy with tracting and street contacting.. but we found 4 potential people to teach! It was so cool and then we also visited a former and he said that we could come back. So we were pretty pumped about that. We were just running all over Espoo and biking cause the weather was nice. It was a really busy day. Then we had a dinner appointment with a member and we had burritos and chocolate covered strawberries. Let me tell ya. Fazer chocolate and strawberries are straight from heaven. I ate more than I probably should have but it was way worth it.
