#51 Transfer calls

Pretty short week...with transfers coming at the end:)
Wednesday was a pretty fun day. So we had district council and we were able to meet all at the church together. It was way fun to see all the members of the district again cause it's been 3 weeks:)) But we all got together and we had the zone leaders there cause they were coming on splits with us later that day. So we had our last district council and then we started our splits with the zone leaders. We had language and comp study and then we started our work. Me and Elder Fitzpatrick had a road trip to a small city about 45 min away to teach a lesson. We had a fun time driving out there and chatting. We had a great lesson with this lady and we were able to talk with her about the scriptures and prayer. Turned out to be a real good lesson and we got a return appointment set up! Then after the lesson me and elder Fitzpatrick went and got some Kebab from this place on the side of the road and had some way good dinner... and then we drove back. For the rest of the night we just street contacted and called some people. Turned out to be a really fun splits.
Thursday we had a really fun and busy day. We started out the day tracting but we didn't get too far before we followed up with a potential. She needed some help sawing wood. So we said we would love to help... so me and elder Chugg grabbed some saws and started going. We got a ton cut up for her and she was very appreciative. While we were sawing and she was cutting up other branches... me and elder Chugg talked to her about the restoration and the plan of salvation. She told us that she read the Book of Mormon a little bit every day and that we could come back next week! So that's pretty legit if I say so myself. Then we went back for lunch and did our usual stuff. Then that night we tracted into some way cool people and some said that we could come back after having a really long talk with them. That night we went street contacting and there was an art festival going on in the center. So went over there to talk to people and we started talking to this guy who's maybe a couple years older than we are. Well  he said he enjoyed talking to us...and we spent the next hour together while he showed us around the center and ended up stopping and going in the Lutheran church to sit down and talk... surprise for us some lady was doing a performance for people so we got to see her sing for a little bit ....then we left and talked to this guy some more. He asked for our number which never happens cause he had fun chatting with us:) He had a lot of questions but said he's not religious... but was curious to know about a few things so maybe it could go somewhere. It was a ton of fun and he's a way cool guy.
Friday really not all that much happened cause it was transfer calls day..so I was just waiting for that call to come:) That's the big thing of the day. So Elder Chugg is getting transferred to Lahti and is serving with an elder from my MTC group. I will be staying in Vaasa and getting a kid who has only been in the country for 6 months. He's leaving his first city... so this will be a lot of fun! So I'll be in Vaasa for 10 more weeks cause that's how long our transfer is Haha. We got a long one coming Haha.
Saturday was a pretty fun day. We were pretty busy on Saturday. We moved our studies to the morning cause of the stuff we had planned for the rest of the day. We finished studies and then we went tracting for a little bit before we met with a less active member and he took us to lunch. He was a little late so we walked over to check out the ruins of an old church from a way long time ago. Kinda looks like a mini castle but sadly it's not a castle Haha. But that was pretty fun. We ate lunch with our friend and talked to him and he told us all about his bike and his trip to Sweden he had taken and where he was headed off to next. Sounds like he has a lot of fun trips. But we had to go cause we had a lesson set up which sadly fell through. So we went back and did some work in the area book before we went to sports. This week though we played beach volleyball and that was way fun! We had a lot of fun playing together. It was just a small group from the ward but still way fun. Good thing I play better volleyball than I do soccer cause if I sucked at both... then that would be a problem:)). We played volleyball and then headed home for some dinner. That night we went tracting and then we spent our last hour of the night....well...elder Chugg was fixing up his bike before transfers and I was working on our car report cause we have appointment and car inspections coming up this next week. But that was fun. Pretty relaxing doing that so I enjoyed it. That night me and elder Chugg just worked on V books trying to get those done. For those of you who don't know what a v book is. It stands for vieras kirja. Which is a guess book is what it translates to. But like it's a mini year book for the mission. Like members from your district write in it but then your companion writes in it and puts pictures and stuff from the transfer. So they are pretty cool and fun. So we were trying to get those done as well Haha.
Sunday was a way fun day. We had church and everyone was in such a good mood at church today and everyone was hanging around after church chatting Haha. Also a YSA from Espoo was visiting in Vaasa... so that was fun to see them and talk with them. After church we went and we did our studies and we followed up with some referrals that we had gotten. Sadly some were not interested and some we could not find. But we tracted and then went and did some area book work cause there is a lot to do so we tried to get some of that stuff done. We also that night got to go to the branch presidents house and chat with him about how we can help the ward and stuff. We had a lot of fun with them. They are just funny so we have a lot of fun with them. That night we cleaned the inside if the car and fixed elder Chuggs bike and then did some cleaning in the apartment for prep for the new transfer. But lots of prep work getting ready for next transfer.
Way excited to see how this next transfer goes! Vaasa is great and I'm having a great time here.
Elder Love out
