Well this has been a way quick week. They seem to just go by in the blink of an eye... but here we are again Haha. Here's the week:
Wednesday we didn't have any district counsel because of zone conference on Monday... so it was just a normal day for us. We got up and Elder Roylance was a little sick. So we just did studies in the morning and visited a member and came back late afternoon for a late lunch. To let Elder Roylance rest we worked on tracting books and we got through all of them... so I think we are there now. Maybe a few more things to do but then they will all be fixed. That took a while. We made some dinner and then headed off to the usual youth night at the church. The girls this week were doing some arts and crafts and they didn't have supplies for us so we sat and watched. And then played a big game of don't let the ball touch the floor and that was pretty fun. We had a pretty low key day. We then went back home that night and studied some Swedish and elder Roylance called sister Aura for advice on what to do. So we got health advice from sister Aura as well. But an overall pretty good day.
Thursday we did studies in the morning like we did on Wednesday and that went well. We then went to go do some service for our disabled friend like we do every Thursday. This time we changed some batteries, moved a lawn mower, and pumped up the tires on his new wheels for his wheel chair and then changed his wheelchair wheels for him. So that was fun! We went back for some lunch and elder Roylance wasn't feeling to hot so I worked on our tracting book project while he got some rest. We are marking all the streets on a map so we know what streets are in the books and what ones are not. That might take a little bit till we have it all done...and move some stuff to different books cause they are in the wrong spot. But I did that and listened to some BYU speeches. Later that day we made dinner and then went to our language night. I helped out regulars with their Finnish while elder Roylance help our new comers with some Swedish. One of our investigators was there as well so she came and helped with the Finnish. But after we had some time to talk with our investigator which was good...and then we went to study Swedish. So not much happened that day but still good.
Friday we got up and elder Roylance was feeling a little better so we went out and tracted in the morning block. Not too many people home. One guy just asked us if we had the bible about a million times and we kept saying yes. And then he had some food delivered and closed the door Haha. But we also ran into one of our less actives on the street and we had a really good chat with him. We hadn't seen him in a bit because of his schedule. We went back and had some lunch and then went and started our weekly planning and trying to figure out what we are going to do for our investigators. We went out and got some pizza and we went to Kotipizza. Got the Texas pizza which pretty much has a bunch of meat and breadsticks on top of it. It's pretty good. Then we went to follow up with some potentials that night and sadly nobody answered. We closed the night off with some Swedish studies and watched the new book of Mormon video:)). Friday went pretty well:)).
Saturday was just kind of a weird day for us. We did our studies in the morning and then had some lunch and headed out to go tracting. We had a lesson in a little bit... and we had to help out at the church for a little bit with a surprise party for member. So we went around tracting and not all that many people interested but that's okay. We went to meet with our friends and did a little follow up on the word of wisdom and tried to get them to stay committed to their goals this week. We had visited them on Tuesdsy night and let's just say it didn't go all that well. They were all taking puffs of marijuana and who knows what else. So we left them with some Gospel of Jesus Christ pamphlets and were on our way Haha. So hopefully they stick to their goals. We then went to help out with this surprise party that a members husband put together for his wife. We thought we were there to help with a computer and stuff but instead we had to tune a guitar which neither of us knew how to do... but we got it with a little help from the internet Haha. And we helped with some set up. Then we somehow just got dragged in and were there for the party, chatted with members and one of our investigators that was there and then we were part of the clean up crew Haha. So that kinda took the whole night from us but its ok. We had a good time:)).
Sunday we woke up to a ton of snow which is fun except when it's on the road or the sidewalks. Then it's not so fun Haha. But I can't control the weather:)). We had church and met with our ward mission leader. And after church we were invited over to a members home for lunch/dinner. And we went there and had some pretty good food and some way good orange juice. It doesn't sound that special but this stuff was way good. We had a good time with this family and shared a little bit about light the world and are trying to get a bit of a head start this year cause last year for some reason the mission started it all way late cause we had not materials for anything Haha. But then we went to the church to put together a spiritual thought for the branch and we had to fix a PowerPoint for a school presentation that we have coming up. Not gonna lie I'm a little nervous cause my Swedish is not all that hot but I guess we shall see what happens:)). That took a while and by then it was late and we still had studies to do so that kinda capped off our night.
Monday was a way good day! So we sadly had some plans cancel on us and so we just decided to do our studies in the morning and then have a longer tracting block. So we did that. During our tracting block we had not too many people home, we actually didn't really got to talk to that many people. But we met some really cool people. We met this way nice old lady and she was pretty chatty. She also took a book of Mormon which was cool. Old people are some of my favorites Haha they are just a hoot:)). But we had a good time tracting and chatting with people and with each other. It was a bummer that not too many people were home or answered but hey what do ya do? Haha. We went home and made some french toast for dinner and then headed off to a lesson. We met with our investigator in the library and had a way good lesson. We talked about some more concerns that she had and answered some the questions that she had. It went really well and I think we made a lot of progress in that lesson with her...so Elder Roylance and I were pretty happy with how that lesson went. And we finished off the night with Swedish studies just like usual:))
Its been a fun week. Also weird to think that I'm 20 now:)) Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!!
