#100 MyPlan and sightseeing

Yeah not much in it this week. But it's been a good one... and we had MyPlan as well this week so that was weird. I guess I got to start planning out my life haha. But here's the week.

Wednesday was a pretty fun day. We had district council in the morning and that was online... so we just chilled at our apartments and called in and did it here. Talked about the Book of Mormon and it was really good! After district council we made some lunch and then made our way down to the Aura river to go meet our friend Jukka. So we hopped on one of the city boats with him and took a small boat ride out to one of the islands of the archipelago and that was way fun. We met a guy from New Jersey and talked with him for a bit. But we spent some time with our friend Jukka and walked around the island a bit, ate some lunch together and took the boat back. We had some way good chats about God, the world and so many other things. Too bad he's a priest of a different church and is pretty devoted to what he does... but he's a way cool guy. But later that day the elders stopped by our place cause me and Elder Melton were going to MyPlan the next day... so they came to spend the night. We did that so we could leave for the train station together and let the other elders go about their day normally. So that night was way fun with them chatting.

Thursday morning Elder Melton and I got up and went to the train station to meet the sisters for our train to Espoo. We went straight from Turku to Espoo and honestly that is probably in my opinion the prettiest stretch of train tracks in the whole country of Finland. It was a way pretty train ride and we had a good time chatting with the sisters on our way down. The train was late about 20 minutes which is okay... but we got into Leppävaara and got to see all the Elders from my MTC group and that was way fun. The last time we were all together was over a year and a half ago. We all piled into cars and went to the mission home and it was way weird being back but so much fun at the same time. President and Sisar Kervinen are awesome and hilarious. MyPlan was really good. We had some way good food for lunch and dinner. We had a pretty good discussion talking about all the different sections in MyPlan and going around the room hearing other missionaries thoughts and that. It started to get real... like the end was coming... and so that was strange but it was way good. We had lots of time to chat with the missionaries and had lots of good laughs haha. I got to say goodbye to Elders Cox, Lakatos, and Olsen as I will not get to see them before they leave cause they are leaving 2 weeks early for school. So we talked and decided we would find a way to meet up in America at some point in the future. We went back on the train that night... on the train with the sisters and talked about MyPlan and all sorts of stuff, got interrupted by this hilarious drunk guy for like 30 seconds. It was really quick and really random but hilarious Haha. Then we got back and Elder Melton and I contacted a bit and talked with the sisters while we waited for the other elders to get out of a lesson.... and we met them back at our apartment and that was our day.

Friday was a pretty good day! So in the morning Elder Dossett and I headed out for a good morning contacting block and it went really well! Not many people were all that interested in talking with us but we did met this one guy and we were able to get his number and he said that he would be interested in meeting and talking with us... so that was awesome! Had some lunch and then we did weekly planning. We also had to make a ton of phone calls and send out a bunch of messages to people and that took us a while..... and then we planned for the rest of the week. After... we made a really quick dinner and went down to the river to meet the sisters and the other elders for a contacting activity! So while some drew with chalk the rest of us stopped and talked with people. I had a very interesting conversation with this guy from Turkey about religion, and an older couple who were way nice. It was also funny cause one was from Pori and the other from Rauma so I had to ask them how things go during hockey season and they busted up laughing because Pori and Rauma have a huge rivalry when it comes to hockey and the Finns take it way seriously Haha. Also met a way cool guy named Ahmed who said he was gonna come to church and he came to meet and talk to all the other missionaries after I chatted with him for a little bit. But our contacting activity went way good! And it was a ton of fun!

Saturday Elder Dossett and I started out with a way good Facebook finding block cause it was raining pretty good and we didn't think to many people were out in the rain. But we got a lot of stuff done there. We posted a lot and messaged a lot of people. After lunch we had some language study. We walked over to the church after to meet Ayush and the sisters at the church cause Ayush wanted to cook some traditional Indian food. So we met him at the church and he cooked for us and that was some bomb food. Wow! It was way good and we ate it with our hands which was fun haha. But it was this good curry chicken and rice thing with all sorts of these Indian spices as well and it was way good! We were supposed to have a first lesson with someone we followed up with in the area book... but they bailed so that was way sad.. but hey that's okay, it's not the first time I've been ghosted haha. But we just got ready a bit early for sports and hung out with Ayush some more until our sports night started. We played chair soccer again and we played sähly. I hadn't played sähly since my time in Pietarsaari so that was way fun! But we played sports and then walked home and that was the end of our day.

Sunday was a good day. We went to church and I got to pass thesacrament which was a special experience with my facemask and gloves.... and also being the only one passing to the entire congregation. Took a little bit but we got it. After church we chatted with a lot of members and it was great getting to talk with them. I also got to practice my Swedish as well so that was good cause it had been a few months since I had used it Haha. After church Elder Dossett and I did some studies and went on the Facebook find n grind. We had a come follow me call as a district and that was really good as well... and we had a good discussion about prayer and faith.

Well we got zone conference tomorrow and some other stuff this week so it should be good!
