#102 Frisbee contacting and lots of food!

Honestly I was a little lazier on this weeks weekly I feel. Just didn't really have too much jaksaa. Hope you like it.

Wednesday was a day just full of street contacting. We didn't have district council because it was on Monday this week... so we had even more time to contact. We contacted pretty much the whole day and we did some work on facebook. Overall just a pretty slow day there... was really nothing happening, nobody wanted to talk and well Facebook work is a world of its own Haha. That night though we did get to call a returning member who was in Oulu on a trip and it was great that we got to share a message with him and talk with him for a bit.

Thursday the rain came down and no flowers were coming up. It was coming down pretty good so nobody was out... so we buckled up for the find n grind on Facebook. Well we worked hard at that and did some studies and worked at that. We called Daniel and asked him if he wanted to go Frisbee Golf contacting cause we had heard it was going alright. Thought we would give it a shot even though it was raining. But we did actually get to talk to a few people out on walks going through the course. We played frisbee and we talked to some people so that was good. Then the rest of the night it was raining so we Facebook contacted... and went out for a bit to go contacting and got a good laugh at people avoiding us on the street haha.

Friday we had some more rain. But in the morning time we made a lot of calls trying to get a hold of some people and got busy with that. We did some studies and had lunch. Then we did weekly planning and we busted through that and it only took us like 3 hrs to do but hey that's okay. We went and picked up the Elders from the bus station as they came home from splits to give them a warm welcome back home. They also came back to the apartment so Elder Pauole could pick up his plant that I was babysitting for the few days he was gone. Then we made some dinner and took off into the evening for a night of contacting and we gave out one Book of Mormon which was awesome... but also the homie was WASTED. He was very keen on learning more about the gospel but maybe when he sobers up in a few days and gets over his hangover he will give us a call! But other than that not many people were interested but that's okay. I was interested in walking around and talking with them so it was great!

Saturday was a way good day. In the morning we went out for a contacting block. We got to talk to a few nice people which was good. They weren't to interested but we got to talk to one guy about a boat and when it left.... so that was cool Haha. We came back for some lunch and then did some studies. After studies we made a few calls to people and we texted a few people trying to get a hold of them so hopefully they respond. But we were doing that and did a bit of Facebook before it was time to make some dinner. After dinner we answered a few people on the phones and then headed out to our Saturday sports night of playing volleyball. Didn't have as many people there as usual but it was still way fun! I got to see Sebastian who I got to know in Pietarsaari cause his family lives there... so we have become pretty good friends... and so that was way fun to chat with him. Our boy Timo lost his key in the sand so we had to find that. Sebastian suggested we say a prayer to find the key cause it was a lost cause. Sure enough like 5 min after he said the prayer we found the key!!! Moral of the story is that prayer always works. And the sisters brought this way cool guy from the UAE and he was way nice and we chatted with him for a while on the way home... cause we had to walk the same way. But that was way fun!

Sunday was a way good day. We were at the church most of the day though. We got there before church started and chatted with some members and then went to sacrament meeting. After church it was more bouncing around talking with members and Elder Dossett was chatting with one of the other Elders investigators. But church was way busy. Some members though had offered to feed all of the missionaries here in Turku and so we went to the kitchen  of the church and they fed us salad, lasagna, and Finnish pancakes. Holy cow there was a ton of food... and the members made sure we ate it all cause if there was anything left in the pan... they would come up to you and ask you if you want more. That meant "eat it so I can clean the pan" haha so we ate all of it. And the pancakes were way good but we had so many. I was busy doing something so I asked Sister Bills  who was sitting across from me to grab me a pancake and  just put some jam and whipped cream on it. Well apparently she wants to give me heart attack cause she layered the jam and the cream and there was a mountain of it on my pancake Haha. But we got it down Haha. After that we had some studies and did come follow me and had a way good discussion about repentance so that was really good. We came home and cleaned our freezer out....because for some reason there was just a ton of frost and ice so we had to clean that. Then the rest of the night was just contacting people on facebook and replying to messages. Way busy day but way fun!!

Monday was a way good day! We had a lesson with Jenni! She was a person that I taught in Pietarsaari. She texted and asked if we could chat and so we took the opportunity to talk with her and that was way fun! Then we went out and did some good contacting and talked to a few people. I don't think any one of them responded to us but hey that's okay, we talked to them and that's what matters. We had some studies and to end the day we went with the Elders to a YSA activity that has that YSA from both our wards. They were grilling and we played uno and that was way fun! Watching them debate over what types of rules we play for uno was hilarious... but I was way proud that I understood what they were saying. But it was hilarious Haha. Also the members home that we were at gave us a tour of his boat which was way cool. It was built in Oulu and has sailed all the way from Finland to Africa so that was pretty cool.

Well that's the week. Hope you enjoyed.
