Wednesday was a fun day. We had district council and everyone came to Vaasa ...so it was fun to get to see everyone. We had a really good discussion about Humility...how it applies to the work and ourselves. We read a little bit in Alma 5 which is one of my favorite chapters. It's just way good! We went home and did some studies, and with the Pietarsaari Elders we had a good conversation about the Book of Mormon. We finished up studies and then we went to meet a less active for some frisbee golf. It was fun getting to spend some time with him and his friend. I have discovered that I am not good a frisbee golf, I think it's way fun but I'm not good. I'm better at real golf. And if you know how I played real golf then that's saying something...cause I'm not good at that either:)) We came back and went to visit a member and then we got some kebab for dinner. Then after dinner we went to give a potential a Book of Mormon in their mother language and had a way good conversation. Then we followed up with another potential and we had another good conversation and we talked for a long time. We were unable to visit another cause they were sick but that's okay. We will visit them when they get better. But that was about our day. Then we went to visit our former investigator friend and he asked us to go fishing with him the next day. And we told him we could come, and then he said that it was also his last time drinking. He's being serious about it this time I hope. He's done a good before so hopefully this time it's gonna work.Thursday was a pretty good day. We got out for the morning block and we started tracting. The hard part of tracting in the morning is not many people are home so you don't really get to talk to a lot of people. We had talked to a couple of people....and we were about to leave cause we had nothing...but we decided 2 more doors. Well turns out that that the second door of those 2 doors had a way nice lady living there and we talked for a little bit and she had seen missionaries where she is from. So that was way cool to talk to her and she invited us back next week! After lunch we went to follow up with some former investigators....and we ended up talking to one guy for a while. He played baseball with the missionaries over 50 years ago:) He said we could come back and talk with him! We did some more area book work and then went fishing for the last little bit of the night. Our friend was alcohol free as for right now which is great! And we are so proud of him! We enjoyed a little bit of fishing..and Elder Andersen caught a pretty big fish. They were all catching stuff and I wasn't getting anything... I was a little confused cause I knew the fish were there and they bite. So I pulled my line out of the water to check and see if my worm was still there. Well... I found out real quick why I wasn't catching anything. My worm was gone, and so was my hook. I just had my bobber and line in the water with nothing on it. So I got that fixed but still came up empty handed for the night haha.Friday was a pretty quick day for us cause we had a lot to do. We had a lesson set up early in the morning...but the guy texted us and said he wouldn't be able to make it cause he had an exam to take. So, we helped the branch president instead with some supplies that had been shipped to the church. After that we drove over to our DA and we love this family so much! We are trying to help their younger daughters who are less active so we spend some time with the family to get to know them....and we had a good spiritual thought with them. We asked one of their sons if he wanted to help us with a lesson later that day. But he told us is didn't have the Jaksaa to come to our lesson which was far away. Jaksaa means like to have energy....It was a bummer cause we wanted him to come cause he's cool... and we also needed another man to come teach cause it was a single lady. Me and Elder Andersen decided we should drive out to see her even without a third man with us. And we drove the 45 min. We got there and a huge miracle happened.!! We were talking to her at her doorstep and she asked if we could talk and go on a walk. So we were able to teach her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the side of a road in the woods. The same place we taught her the plan of salvation. Waaay cool!! Then we just drove all the way back and we went contacting...the weather was great! We stopped and talked to this guy and had a good conversation with him...then all of a sudden it just started to rain, and it was coming down, and then it started to hail!! We were literally outside for like not even 5 min and we walk into the apartment and we are just soaked hahaha. But a good way to end the night Haha.Saturday was a busy day. A member told us that there was a track near by that we could run at cause it was open to the public. When we got there in the morning ready to run...it was locked and we couldn't get in. So it was either running around Vaasa or just working out at the apartment.... which for us was totally fine Haha. But we went back and got ready for the day. We then went out that morning and started doing area book follow up and were driving around trying to track all these people down Haha. But we drove all over Vaasa and we got to talk to 1 of the guys we were looking for! He wasn't interested anymore but hey that's okay. We came back for lunch and studied and by the time we were done it was time for sports. So we went and played some soccer with our friends. That was a lot of fun getting to play with them. Then for the rest of the night we were doing some more area book follow up. We got hungry so we stopped at McDonald's and got some food. We also got to watch The Testaments that night. BOM MOVIE!!! one of my favorites Haha.Sunday was a pretty good day. We went to church and got to talk to our great members here in Vaasa... they are just awesome! Church was pretty fun cause in Sunday school we were sitting with one guy in the back and he leaned over to me and said "can you see anything on that board?" And I'm like "yeah"... "you're saying you can read everything on that board?" "Yeah".... "I just went to get my eyes checked this week and the doctor said my eyes were great, and I can't see anything he's writing" ... "I'm sure you're eyes are great, he's just not using a good pen so dont worry to much" and he just laughs. But then in the middle of Sunday school he leaned over to me and elder Andersen and asked some question about the plan of salvation. We found the scripture that talked about it and it turned into a mini group of discussion about where in the scriptures it talked about what. We had a great time Haha. It was a lot of fun chatting with him and we have a lot of fun with him. The parents of a less active girl we are trying to help came and thanked us for all the stuff we are doing and the spiritual thought we've shared. Her mom was shocked cause her other daughter who is less active as well and never comes to anything...but she showed up to listen about half way through our spiritual thought. It was the first time we have ever had the whole family there. It was so good! And they are such a fun family so we have a good time together. We had a DA with another family and we had some wayyy good food. Not really sure what it was, some kind of chicken soup thing but it tasted good and had a good chat with them as well. We had another lesson fall through which was a bummer but we picked up a former investigator. He called us over to talk with us. We have been fishing a few times with him and just being good friends with him and I think he is ready this time around. So we will see how it all goes from here and what happens. Monday...we went out to track down some formers to see if they were still interested... and we stopped by one of our investigators... and it was great cause he was home! We talked with him for a little bit and set up a lesson with him for later. While talking with him he was telling us he wanted to find the same happiness that we had. And then he points at me and says "like this guy, he just can't stop smiling or laughing" so at least he can see I'm a happy guy:))That night we were doing some more follow up. Right now a big focus is following up with people, every single person and potential in the area book. Come October 31st... any papers we have left and they aren't interested or we haven't gotten them a privacy notice to keep their information.... all the papers get destroyed on that day. So we are doing a lot of area book work. We stopped this guy from Africa... and he knew who we were and we started talking. Well we talked to him for like 45 min outside this apartment building...we talking about the Bible, Book of Mormon, and all kinds of stuff and just getting to know each other. He's way cool. He told me he thinks the Lord has called me to be single for the rest of my life. So I guess according to this African man's prophecy, I will never be married Haha. I guess that saves some stress down the road haha. He was having a hard time with my last name being Love. But so do a lot of people in Finland, nobody thinks it's my actual name Haha. He was a way funny guy and we got his number and I think he would be down to talk some more, so we will see what happens... but that just about capped off our night. That's the week. Stay tuned for more.Elder Love out
