#20 Miracles happen

What is up to all my wonderful peeps back in the good ole U S A.:)
This is Elder Love reporting live from Finland where it is currently 8:28am  and just as dark as it was at midnight:). This has been a pretty good week here in Finland and also a quick one. It feels like yesterday I was writing last weeks email so the time is flying by.
I'll start with where I was in life on Thursday cause I wrote to y'all on Wednesday last week:) We got up and did our usual missionary things in the morning like work out, eat, and of course study. But we had to head over to Tapiola to go teach one of our new investigators. He asked us if we could meet him, so we gladly went and met him inside his church building. Not to be judgy or anything, but the outside of this church was all concrete with no windows and it almost looked like a prison. However,  we had a great lesson with him and he invited us to go ice skating with him the following week. We told him we would ask president and get back to him. Well lucky for us president told us that we could go and so we got a time set up for Monday to meet with him and then go skating for a little bit. We also had a great lesson with one of our investigators...but sadly it was the last one cause he ended up moving this week. We got the sisters in his area in contact with him so that he can continue to be taught!!
Friday was a pretty good day.. we got in a lot of metro contacting which is probably my favorite form of contacting people. Sometimes we just ride the metro for a few hours going back and forth and just talking to all the people who are brave enough to sit by us or are lucky enough to have us sit by them haha. It is great!  Sometimes it goes really well, sometimes they just ignore you, and sometimes you get yelled and told that they are not in the mood cause their soccer team is losing 4-1:))). We had a good weekly planning session which I enjoy, cause you get down to the nitty gritty about how to help your investigators and members and we have a blast while doing it:). Then we had a meeting with one of our investigators. He has been taught everything...and we are still working with him...and we showed him a video. In the video a guy gets stuck in some snow but he gets out and gets home safe. We ask him what he learned from it and he tells us "It was a good video but I did not like the part when he slammed on the gas to try to get out of the snow. They teach you in driving school not to do that when you get stuck in the snow" :)) We were like that's great that you remember what you learned in driving school.. now what did you learn from the video:)). This guy is hilarious but he was being dead serious with this comment and I was trying so hard not to crack a smile or laugh:))
Sunday we had the glorious 2 hour church and that was amazing. And we chatted with one of the sisters' investigator and he is solid and such a cool guy. We also had a great lesson with a man from India and he asked the greatest questions and was really interested in learning about our church and what we believe. He always stopped us and said " So if I understand correctly..." which you never get cause sadly a lot of the people you talk to don't care about religion... and come to find out only 9 percent of Finlands population actually goes to church:)
Monday we went ice skating with our investigator and that was so fun... he is one of the nicest guys that you will meet and loves hanging out with us and taking the lessons. He is bomb to as setting up his own lessons and inviting us over:) We don't really have to ask him when, cause he sets it up himself:)) We had a good time getting to know him and just being his friend. Plus miracles happen!!  I was on the metro today and started talking to this lady and asked her a language question... and she then tells me that she is from Estonia, doesn't speak a lick of English, but speaks Finnish. Well, no language question answered... but I was able to talk to her about religion and the Book of Mormon and give it to her and get her number to set up a lesson sometime all by my self!!! Doesn't sound like much, but I rarely understand people well enough to do that. I thank my Heavenly Father for helping me with that one... it was such a cool moment!!

Anyway this week's been Great!  Love y'all and thanks for the support!
