Wednesday really not all that much happened. We had district council and that was fun to be able to see the district again. We only get to see the other missionaries about once a week so district councils are always fun. We had some good discussions, we came back, we did some studies, and then we got ready to go to a lesson. We got to his building and they were not home... that was a bummer but it's okay. We had cleaning checks the next day so we decided we would go back and clean really good before they came.
Thursday... wow that was one thing after another!! We had cleaning checks and we passed with flying colors. They said we had the cleanest apartment!:)) So we were pretty proud of ourselves:)). We then went straight to the AP's apartment cause we had exchanges with them. So we got there, did a planning session to get everyone caught up on what was happening that day... and then we went out and started working! I went with Elder Christensen first and we were hunting down some less actives. That was way fun cause we had a list of names and we went and hit all of their houses and talked to people as we walked from place to place. I kinda felt like a spiritual Dog the Bounty Hunter:)) We had a lot of fun and Elder Christensen is hilarious... so we had a blast!! We came back and had some dinner and then I went with Elder Krause and we had 2 lessons to teach. The first one was at the church. We got there and the guy toldus that he was on his way. We were waiting and waiting and waiting. After a little more waiting we called him and he said he was close. So we waited some more and finally after an hour and a half we had to leave and make it to our next lesson. So me and Elder Krause just bro'd out while we were waiting and we talked about baseball and school and it was fun. Then we went to the next lesson and it was with a less active member....and the member that they decided to bring on this lesson was my former MTC teacher and her husband Haha. So that was really fun cause she had taught me in the MTC!! We came back for the night and made bigger cookie dough milk shake than we should have... but it was really good so we munched on that and chatted the rest of the night.
Friday we went back out and I did some more less active hunting with elder Christensen. The morning just flew by and then it was lunch time and we went to a Mexican place...where we were greeted by 2 Persians making Mexican food. Yeah that makes sense:)).. but they were way cool and they made some way good food so I ain't complaining:)) Then we went back and weekly planned and that was about the rest of our day for Friday. We had a good night of contacting and that's about it.
Saturday I had a meeting with all the other district leaders in the zone and the zone leaders and it was just 5 of us and we had a lot of fun!! We talked about the state of the mission and our zone. Tried to think of ways we can make the work better. We then went to Burger King for lunch cause the office was way nice and gave us 10 extra euros so we could go out to eat. And then we finished off the meeting after Burger King talking about the role of a district leader and we read in D&C 6 which was was good. We met up with our comps cause they had gone out to do work while we met. It was really funny cause that night we went tracting and there was this guy who was like afraid of us or something and he kept coming out of his house...he would like squint really hard to see us and then go back inside:))
.
Sunday was probably the craziest day. We had stake conference and so we got a ride with a recent convert who was baptized in February. We rode together to stake conference and we got to meet up with all the other missionaries who are serving in the stake. And I got to see my old MTC companion... Elder Carter!! That was fun to get to see him again and we got to see so many other missionaries and that was a blast. During the conference I think that is the most Finnish that I have ever been able to understand. Like I can honestly say it was a good conference cause I knew what they were talking about . There were a few times I was way lost but yay for Elder Love to improve!! After the conference we talked to some member and then we went to another members house cause they had called and asked us to come over and give a blessing. We went over and I gave my first ever blessing in Finnish!! Yeah that wasn't scary at all Haha. I was pretty nervous but at the same time not nervous. It went really well... and after they told me they understood everything I said, so that's good. But way cool experience. No matter what language a blessing is given it has the same power. Way cool. Then that night we went tracting. We went to a new area that we had not been to before. We picked a street and started knocking. We knocked on the first door and this guy answers... and he asked us who we were while being on the phone. We told him who we were and told him we teach about Jesus Christ. He went on to tell us that he doesn't believe in God. We ask him why and he told us he doesn't believe cause if there was a God then bad things wouldn't happen. So why does God let bad things happen? We then went on to tell him that you can find the answer to this question and many others in the Book of Mormon. He took a book and a pamphlet very willingly and seemed interested...we got his number and went on our way with the Intent to call him in a few days and try to set something up. He called us about and hour and a half later and was like "Can you come over on Friday so we can talk?" It was so cool! So we are excited for Friday. That's why Sunday was crazy... we had a ton of cool things happen.
Then yesterday we went to Pasila to fix the bus passes and went tracting. That's about all I got for you this week.
Hope you all have a great week!
Elder love out
