#42 Miracles happen every day

So this week's been way busy and got cut short by a whole day real quick. Here's what happened this week.
Wednesday was a pretty good day and it was really busy for us. We went out in the morning and we went tracting and we barely talked to anyone. There was just nobody home. So we came back and made ourselves a pizza for lunch. Then we went to teach a lesson with a guy I've been trying to get a hold of for the last 6 months and we finally got to meet with him!!! It was awesome and I've talked to this guy quite a bit on the phone but never met him until yesterday, so that was good. We talked about prayer and the Book of Mormon and it was a great lesson. We then rushed over to a DA and that was way fun. They asked me during dinner if there was anything that I didn't like to eat and I said one thing I don't like is mushrooms and they were like "oh okay" and then everyone starts laughing. Well we get to the end and we are done with dinner and they say to me "Elder Love you have to promise me that you won't get mad or throw up" and I'm thinking that's pretty easy not to do either one. And I'm like okay Haha. And they then begin to tell me that there were mushrooms in the dinner we just ate.  And we all start laughing cause I never tasted any of them Haha.
Thursday we had exchanges with the zone leaders. We picked them up in the morning and then we went to work. Well we started out by doing all our studies cause we had a busy afternoon. I started out with Elder Skinner and we went to go follow up with some people and sadly none of them were home. Then we went to go teach a lesson at the library. We met with this girl and she went on talking us about the master's thesis she's working on. That was pretty interesting to listen to. Then we started talking about God and the Book of Mormon. It was a good lesson and she opened up to us telling her thoughts on religion and stuff but she is interested in learning more! Then we went to follow up with some other people and tract the rest of the time in Henttaa. Then we came back and ate some dinner. Then Me and Elder Van Buskirk went to go teach a lesson. And they ghosted us and were not there and went to Helsinki instead... but we got  another lesson set up. Then we went to finish the night tracting and that was a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun with the people that we were talking to and tried to visit another friend..  but they weren't home. Just nobody was home. But we finished the night on the metro and getting some ice cream so we could make a treat. And we just sat out on the parveke chatting for the rest of the night.
Friday was a pretty busy day as well we had a lot planned. In the morning we went to a brunch with Elder Kimballs bishop from home. Apparently they are on some trip that stopped in Finland so they took us to lunch and that was fun. We then headed to the church cause we had a lesson set up at the church so we just decided to go there early and do our studies there and then teach after studies. Well.. they never showed up.. but said they would come to church on Sunday so that's a plus. So we just headed back to do weekly planning  cause that was the next thing that we had on the schedule. Weekly planning always takes a long time but we got it done and got through it. We had a lesson with one of our investigators. He has been taught for a really long time and he has progressed a ton in  the last couple of weeks that we have been meeting.  He also said the prayer at the end of the lesson and he said the longest prayer I've ever heard him say.. he said more than one thing so that was awesome. Then we headed home after cause that was the end of our day. The days just go by so fast here that they are like a blur sometimes.
Saturday was a pretty fun day. We went and played basketball with a less active and the sisters and that was way fun. My basketball skills still suck but hey that's okay. We played basketball and then went and bought some really good pizza that was way cheap and made by some habibis. Then we had a lesson with a less active and it was awesome. We had a discussion about commandments and covenants. He totally gets it but still won't come to church which is a little confusing... but hey that's why we help them out:) He's such a cool guy and we also got to learn a lot about Africa as well which was Interesting. The rest of the day we were just tracting and literally nobody was home...and so we went down by the beach and contacted people there walking and we met some way cool people and some people from different countries as well. I've been keeping track and I finally got over 50 on different countries of people I've met. So you get to meet a variety of people which is awesome. While tracting a member gave us ice cream cause it was hot so that made it better as well Haha. We never turn down ice cream.
Then Sunday was pretty normal. We had church and had a lot of fun talking to the members. After church we went to a members house and he grilled us some steaks and we had steaks and potatoes and it was way good. We sat in their backyard and ate and enjoyed the nice weather and good food. Then we went back and did some studies and called people and then off to tracting we went. We knocked on this guys door and was like "I'm not interested but the lady 3 doors down would  be" so we go down and knock her door. And we introduce ourselves and we get to sit on her porch and right there teach her the restoration! So cool! Just a lesson and a brand new person to teach! All thanks to that non interested Fin. That was so cool. So we were pretty pumped to end the week with that.
Then today is p day cause some things got moved around and President wants us at an activity in Lohja this Saturday so whatever that is it will be way fun!
Hope yall have a great week!
Elder Love out
