#41 Busy but FUN week!

Well, this week has literally gone by so fast and the next week is even busier. P days just come so fast sometimes I feel like it hasn't even been a week yet:)..but here's what happened this week.
Tuesday was seriously so much fun. We went to Nuuksio again to do the same thing as last time. Roast some makkara and go hammocking. But this time there was me and elder Kimball, the AP's, the zone leaders, the Hagga Elders, and the Neitsytpolku elders as well. So we had a lot come this time and it was so much fun! We just hung out in hammocks and were grilling and chatting. It was way fun. We played some ultimate frisbee again and that was very tiring but a ton of fun. Lucky for us it did not rain while we were there but rained when we got home:) .
Wednesday we had district council and the zone leaders came to it as well and we had a great time being able to review zone conference and we were able to practice some of the things that we learned in zone conference as well, which was way fun. Then Elder Kimball and I went tracting and we knocked on this lady's door from England and she was a hoot:) This lady was cracking me up, she was just this lonely lady who wasn't all that interested in the gospel but she was willing to talk... and she just went on and on.  The best way I can describe it was that she was just a hoot and I loved it. She was awesome. So we chatted with her for a while before we had to go and get to a lesson with a guy we haven't been able to get a hold of. Turns out he up and left the country to date and then get married. So he left us single and came back married. That happened fast Haha but he's way happy so that's good for him. We had an alright lesson with him,  just likes to talk about the bible so it's a little hard to get him to focus...but it's a process.
Thursday was such a fun day. So we had a service opportunity to go help this guy that we had met street contacting a few weeks ago. He needed help cause he was starting a garden. So we went to help him dig dirt and wheel it over to where he was making the rows and dump the dirt in this guide to make the rows straight. We did work and had a lot of conversations about life and people. It was a lot of fun I really enjoyed it. Plus it was fun cause I haven't been able to do yard work in a really long time so that was something fun to do. After we helped him we went home and we got cleaned up, had some dinner, and then headed out to do some work before we went to the church to teach a lesson to a lady we had found earlier in the month.  We met her at the church and we were going to teach her about the Plan of Salvation, and it was such a cool lesson. We had a member from the ward there as well to help teach and he was awesome. But we taught about the plan of salvation and at the end we extended the invitation to her to be baptized and she said yes! So we are planning for her to be baptized on the 13th of July. It was so cool and she just kept telling us about how interested she was in reading the Book of Mormon and all that. She is awesome and her kid was just chilling and coloring as we met so that's cool too.
Friday was a bit of a more low key day. We had weekly planning and that takes up a lot of your day but we weekly planned. Got everything set up for our first week of June. Yeah when we found out that May was over and it was gonna be June... we were just in shock:)) May came and died like a bug hitting the windshield, BAM, just gone. But that night we got to meet with one of our other investigators and we talked to him and he opened up to us about his concerns about baptism which was really helpful to know so we can best help him. We taught him about prayer and taught him how we can receive answers and how prayer can help us. It was a really good lesson and I think it helped him a lot and we are making progress with him slowly but surely:). Then we went with him to Lidl and stopped by the Lidl bakery for a post lesson treat:) At least this time it was not Burger King, he always wants to go to Burger King:).
Saturday was a fun day. We went to play with our friends in the morning and played some soccer. I actually played really good and I played some way good defense. So I was happy with that and it was a lot of fun to play with them. We are all just way good friends now so it's way fun. We came back and we did our studies and we started calling some people and got some lessons set up which was awesome. I am way excited for this next week with some of the people that we get to meet with. Then after studies we went out to tract and follow up with some potentials who haven't been answering and none of them were home. It's always funny cause when we go to this one area there is this guy that always comes out of his apartment in his underwear and squinty eyed looking really confused... as to why we are there and then goes back in and we just laugh:)) While we were there it started raining and we had to bike back. Well..on our way back we started biking and we decided to stop and talk to every person we would pass on our bikes and I think I we may have scared some of the Fins:)). They were just so confused as to why we would stop on our bikes to talk to them. We had some good conversations but not too many people wanted to chat. Also today is the day that all the High Schoolers graduate from high school so there are a bunch of kids out everywhere so that was cool to see. Then since tomorrow is fast Sunday we went and got some treats to eat before fast Sunday Haha.
Sunday was a really good day. We went to church and we had 2 of the people we were teaching in church so that was awesome! And one of them said they would come back next week! So that was a lot of fun. Me and Elder Kimball were asked to teach the Sunday school class for all the English speakers in the ward, so we taught the Sunday school class and it went really well, it was more just like the missionary class for the first little while, cause nobody would say anything besides the missionaries... and then finally people started to chime in:)).  We got to chat with a lot of members and it's always good to talk with them, especially after being here in this ward for so long... now we are all just really good friends. After church we rode the bus home and we started some studies and tried to get some other things planned out for the rest of the day. We went tracting before we went to our dinner appointment and some guy stopped us on our bikes and that never happens. And he's like "I just wanted to tell you that I'm wearing BYU shorts" and of course we gotta ask why he's wearing BYU shorts Haha. But apparently he played Basketball for BYU back in like the 80s but tore his ACL early and was out... but he graduated from BYU! It was interesting to talk to him about that cause he lived in Utah for a while. Not interested at all but said  we could come by and say hi:). Then we went to our dinner appointment and that was a lot of fun. It was with one of my favorite families and their son just returned from his mission and so it was fun to talk with him and learn about his mission... and there are a lot of similar things that he ran into that we run I to all the time. It was way fun and she fed us a lot and we got to have some good fruit as well which was a plus. Then on the way home we stopped some guy carrying golf clubs and started talking with him and we probably talked to him for like 20+ minutes. Yeah he wasn't interested either but it was still a good conversation so maybe the next missionaries he meets he will talk with them.
Monday we got to meet with a member who was baptized a few years ago and it was just so fun to spend some time with him and get to hear about his life. Getting to spend time with the members is awesome! We also went to the stake presidents house for dinner and he grilled just a bunch of cheese, chicken and sausage and we just ate and chatted. We biked a lot too so that was fun cause the weather has been way nice here.
That's really all folks Haha. Hope y'all have a good week and as you can see things are just great in Finland😊
Elder Love out
