#61 Elder - Äldste

This week has just been absolutely crazy and it has gone so fast!!! I don't think I can even remember half the week. So fair warning this one is probably gonna be a short one:))Wednesday we had our final district council of the transfer and said our goodbyes to elder Ames who will be heading home in a few days. Sad to see him go and all the other elders of that group.. cause they are studs! We had a lunch/dinner appointment and she took us to an Egyptian food place. It was pretty good. I will say though Egyptians know how to do juice. It's weird to think that but they got good juice:). I don't know what they do differently but they do it right:).Thursday we went out and followed up with some more former investigators and we did studies. Then we went to a dinner appointment and had dinner with some members, that is always a good time. I really enjoy this old couple they are so fun haha. And straight after we went to a less actives place. We hadn't seen him in a while and he had lots going on this last couple weeks so it  was way good to see him again. We talked to him about temples. He's having a hard time thinking that the temple will help his life and make him happier. But we are working on it. It's so fun to meet with him and he is hilarious. So it makes our meeting way fun. His girlfriend came over and we talked with her a little but she wasn't to keen on talking to us. But it was good to see our man again. Friday was a really hard day for me to focus.. we didn't have much to do that day. Just weekly planning and a lesson that night and a DA with a member family as well. But it was the day we received transfer calls!! So now to explain my subject for the email. Elder Andersen will be staying in Vaasa and he's gonna train! Hes gonna be a great trainer so I'm excited to see how that goes for him. He is also excited cause he gets to drive:) I am being transferred. These 4 months went my way too fast here in Vaasa. But I'm being transferred to Pietarsaari. Which is the only town in Finland that is an only Swedish speaking city! So what does that mean for Elder Love?? You guessed it! Elder Love has to learn a new language. It's Swedish. So hopefully that goes well for me and hopefully  I can pick that language up quickly. That's about it for Friday that's they big thing. But it's fun cause I'll get to stay in the same district so I get to see all the trainees in the district. We have 3. So that will be some fun district councils. Saturday was a crazy day as well. We were with a less active in the morning and we also cleaned the baptismal font for a member family who was baptizing their kid that night. So we did that, had a DA with a member and she took us to my favorite Kebab place in all of Vaasa. And best of all I got a picture with him and his family. He loved elder Andersen  and I so we had a good time chatting with him. Then we rushed back to open the church to help the family with the baptism. So pretty much we just filled up the font, talked with members and other people that were there... drained the font and talked with more members. But they insisted that we stayed and had cake. So we stayed, had cake, met some people from Iceland and had a good chat. I will tell you though this is the first time I've ever heard the song Hallelujah as a musical number. In their defense... I don't think the family members who sang it were members but it shocked me. Sounded pretty good. It was interesting but good. Then after the baptism we went to play sports with our ward members and our recent convert who we are trying  to get back to church.Sunday we had church. I spent some time saying goodbye to members and it was kinda sad. But not that sad cause I'll be coming to Vaasa every other week for district council so it's not too sad Haha. It was sad to say bye to the branch President. He gave me a hug when I said bye to him which I was not expecting. But we have become really good friends these last 4 months. But today just getting ready for the move tomorrow and finishing up everything else before I go. Hope you all have a good week!Elder Love
Every week we ask Elder Love some questions...and I thought I would share one here.My question was: "What is one thing you've learned from each of your former companions?
He said:) From Elder Reed... I learned how to be a missionary. Just how to do it all and work well. Be efficient. Elder Englund just to laugh through the mistakes and not get discouraged if you're not perfect. Especially with the language just go for it and if you mess up so what? Just try again. I still have a little hard time with this one but I've gotten a lot better. Elder Fitzpatrick probably just how to have fun with the work. Like be serious but enjoy it and have a good time. Elder Kimball just cause we talked all the time and we became good friends... It doesn't matter where you've been but just where you're going and how you improve. And Elder Chugg I think we both learned together how to push through the hard times even when nothing seemed to be going right. As long as you are doing your best then there is no need to beat yourself up. You can't make someone listen.

Austen and Elder Ames that is going home
Smallest elevator ever!
They got some snow:)
