So lets start with Wednesday... We started our first splits of the week with the zone leaders and they came over to our area to do work... and we had a full day planned. So to start off ...Elder Englund, Elder Olsen, and I went off to find a former investigator while Elder Fitzpatrick and Elder Moulder went off tracting in a different area. So we got on the bus and took it a few stops and we decided to street contact all the way over there. So we actually got to talk to a lot of people and I have never met so many people that have asked us if we speak Swedish:)).. Well while we are walking we get some directions to the street that we are going to. Well, turns out it was a lot farther than we thought... so we just walked all over kingdom come to find this building to go visit a former investigator. Well the good news is we found the building and sadly they were not home when we got there:))...you win some and you lose some... and in this case we won! Because you can't really lose while doing missionary work!! So we just walked back and and met up with the other elders... cause by then it was time for us to switch. So Elder Englund took Elder Moulder and Me and Elder Olsen went to Elder Fitzpatrick. For the afternoon/night block we had two lessons planned in a area called Hentaa. So we go to the bus stop and our bus is not coming for like 35 min and so us 3 make the decision to walk there:) Our first lesson wasn't until 5 and it was like 3:15 so we had plenty of time... and it wasn't too far:) We street contacted on the way there and the first lady we talk to is so old and comes up to us and is like "I Love Jesus" and of course we are like "We love Jesus too!" And then she just goes on this ramble about how God answers prayers and then is like " Come here boys" and very naturally we are in this football huddle with this old lady on a bridge over the freeway and she just starts praying and the prayer goes on and on and on, and me and Elder Olsen are trying so hard not to just die from laughing. She finishes and we are like " Do you want to talk more about Jesus since you love him so much" and we got an answer we were not expecting hahah "No I don't want to talk about him, good day" and she just leaves:)). So we continue our trek to Hentaa and get there an hour and a half later... it was a haul but it was a very pretty walk through the woods in this one part....and we contacted people skiing:)). We get to Hentaa and both of our lessons fell through! So we are tracted some more...we still had till 8 and it was like 6.Elder Olsen was so tired of tracting so was like "lets go to the subway"! So we went to the subway:)The rest of our tracting was so much fun and we were in tears at some points from laughing so hard haha. Then we returned at 8 to finish the night metro contacting and during that we had some interesting conversations. Elder Moulder got a tub of beef from an Ethiopian! We finished the night with a good mud cake and talking about movies haha. It was a crazy day!!:)). Thursday-Friday. We said good bye to the zone leaders and we went over to the AP´s apartment because we had splits with them. We packed up and went over to their area and started round 2 of splits:)). For the rest of the day we were there, we were out tracting with Elder Jacobsen and we were just pounding out the oma kotis and not that many people wanted to talk to us... but, the will be ready another day to talk to the missionaries then. But it was a real quick day and then Friday came so fast. We got up and ate, did some studies and I went with Elder Jacobsen and went out tracting while the others went with Elder Weeks. We found some really nice people. We also talked to this one guy who was way cool, we asked him if maybe he'd have 10 min that we could come in and talk to him more... and he told us no... but we were still talking to him at his door 45 min later, cause we was asking questions about Joseph smith, polygamy, the Book of Mormon, and all sorts or stuff. We just stood there and answered all of his questions:)). We came back after the morning block and had some lunch, did comp and language study and that was fun. We had to translate a paragraph of PMG to another missionary from Finnish to English while having someone read it to us in Finnish! It's to practice in case we ever have to translate for someone in church. That was crazy cause PMG has some crazy Finnish words... but we all did surprisingly well, and it was fun to listen to them translate and try to keep the pace with the reader:)). Then I went out with Fitz and Weeks and we went and did some more tracting in some rivitalos, and we met the nicest chinese guy who didn't speak a lick of Fnnish or English:) Fitz said a little phrase in Chinese to him and so did Weeks... and that was the extent of their Chinese knowledge:) The guy just went off in Chinese and were like "Sorry that is all the Chinese we know" haha... but he was way cool and got a little Finnish and English out of him from what he knew... and it was just such a fun tracting block. Having 2 splits in a row really wears you out for some reason, but we were tired and the craziness wasn't over:))Sunday to sum up... I finally got to eat some Reindeer!! So now I've had moose, goat, reindeer, pickled hearing... all of which have tasted really good. Who knows what's next!:)MONDAY! We had district meeting in the morning and that is always fun to get together with the district... but this is the crazy part.... We went back to do comp and language study and it had been steadily snowing all day... but it just kept getting worse and worse:)). We made some calls and I was on the phone with an investigator for 25 minutes... and she was telling me about her school, where her family lived all over the world, we talked about the weather, it was such a long and interesting phone call:)). But we had a tracting block prepared so we bundled up and went out into the snow storm to do some tracting and street contacting. Well after we had been walking around in the snow and wind for a long time tracting and contacting, we got a text from the ZL´s telling everyone to stay warm cause we had blizzard conditions. So since we were warm..we kept on going tracting and contacting the few people outside:)) and took a lil break and walked by the beach... cause there was literally nobody out on the streets or answering doors:) It was fun to just get blasted my negative something wind and snow.... but do not worry one bit.... we were all properly dressed for the Finnish winter, and we were not cold one bit:)). But it was so much fun!!!! Just decided to cover all the crazy things that happened cause they were so much fun... and the other days were great... but I wanted to get more detail into these stories about what happened:))We got some good pics and vids so hope you enjoy those.
