#26 Transfer week!

Well it's me again haha and its been such a fast week. So this week we had our transfer calls and President literally called us at like 8 in the morning and gave us our calls... so the exciting part of Friday came and went real quick:) You'll hear more about Friday later in the email:) Other than that it's just been a great week here in Espoo!.. and it has gone by really fast... sI'm guessing that is a good thing:)).
Before I continue...I'm just gonna give a warning... I can literally not remember half the stuff we did this week so we are just gonna go with the flow here and see what happens.  Anyway, Wednesday we had our last district meeting with the district and we had a lot of food. We had a big lunch together to kinda celebrate the end of the transfer and to also have a going away party for sister Brinton who is leaving in like 2 days:). After district meeting we went and did some good ole tracting. Other than that I have no idea what we did Wednesday:).
Thursday we spent a lot of time at the church... we had a service project and we helped move all of the chairs out of the church and load them into a big moving truck. They were getting rid of all of them and bringing in new chairs for the entire building so that they would all match. So we did that and we were just hauling chairs out of the building. It was a lot of fun...because there are not a lot of service opportunities... cause the Finns are really stubborn and don't ask for help.:)) When we get an opportunity to  do something we jump at it:)). After the service we changed at the church and we had to wait for one of the sisters investigators. Elder Englund had to give him his baptismal interview. But he didn't come until like 1 and so we just sat and studied at the church for like 3 hours and called a ton of people cause there was really nothing else that we could do until he came haha. He eventually came and we got the interview done and then we went on our way to continue working.
Friday was a pretty busy day as well. We had a lesson in the morning with one of our investigators and so we stopped by his place and met with him in the morning...and that was a lot of fun. He is a way funny guy and he's just so fun to meet with. Teaching lessons is probably one of my favorite parts and it's just so fun to get to know them. It's cool to see how quickly the friendship builds for how little of time you actually get to spend with them:)
Saturday was just a really bomb day!!  So we got up in the morning, did some studies and then headed off to the church...because the sisters' investigator was getting baptized! So we had a few investigators coming and missionaries from the zone were bringing their investigators... so we were having a lot of people there. But that was a ton of fun... we got to meet with the other missionaries. The guy who was baptized last week in Helsinki came with the zone leaders... and he is such an awesome guy and you can just see how happy he is. His life has changed for the better and you can see it. After the baptism we chatted with all the other investigators about the service and what they thought... got to know them and that is the best part. All these people have different stories and to hear about them and their life and how they came in contact with the missionaries, is so fun to hear. One of the sisters investigators brought his guitar and got all the missionaries together and he played for us and that was so cool to see. He is one of my absolute favorite people... and him and I are great friends cause we see him all the time while we are out:)). It was so fun that he wanted to share with us one of his talents and something that he really loved. Then that night we had a lesson with one of our investigators who is from Nigeria...and he is studying chemical engineering at the university and going for his masters. The guy is hecka smart!! We taught him the gospel of Jesus Christ and that was just a great lesson and it gets better. We extended a baptismal invite and he said yes! So if things continue to go... he will be ready for baptism!  We also invited him to church...and sorry to say... but that was a little funny.... he started laughing cause he hasn'tbbeen to church in years... and you could tell he knew that it was the right thing to do and he was like " I..... I have to... I don't want to say Yes but..hahaha.... I'll come to church" He tried to come up with anything to avoid it and he was just laughing the entire time haha. It was such a good lesson and he is such a cool guys so it was a great way to end the night.
Sunday came and he was at church!!! He came with his Book of Mormon and had a sticky note pad for notes. I was so impressed... he had some amazing comments in Sunday school and was just offering answers whenever...and it was great! For the rest of Sunday we were just visiting members and Elder Englund said goodbye to a lot of people cause he is leaving for Tampere tomorrow. Oh that reminds me.. I forgot transfer calls!!!! hahah well Englund is going to Tampere to be a Zone leader and Me and Elder Fitzpatrick are staying together is Espoo for the next 10 weeks! So we will start the next transfer running and getting things done.
Well that's really all I got for this week. It's been great here in Espoo and I'm excited to continue to work here!!
Love ya'll!
