#89 Transfers

Well this one is shorter cause it's transfer week!

Wednesday was a pretty fun day. In the morning we went to practice and played music with Jenni. We recorded some of the songs so that we can use them for this fireside that we are getting together... but we just needed to record one more song... and then we can make the video and send it out. After that we headed back home for lunch and studies. That took up part of our afternoon and then we had a lesson with Elder Kuntz's family. To mix up the work that night we went biking around Jakobstad so I could show Elder Kuntz where people lived and and how to get around the city. While biking around, we got to stop and get some good pictures and enjoy the nice weather that we had. Plus getting out on the bikes and biking around again was way fun!

Thursday we did some more biking. We biked out so I could show Elder Kuntz where the branch President lived since we had been unable to go visit his home this transfer. But while we were out biking by his place... we biked the extra few minutes to go and see the place where Finland was dedicated for the preaching of the Gospel. That spot is kind of in a weird but cool spot. Plus it's been a cool opportunity to go see it since you can only visit this spot if you serve in Jakobstad. Then our afternoon consisted of some studies. Elder Kuntz and I went to pick up some burgers from a place we had not tried yet. That turned out really good but just not as good as a good ole American burger. The Europeans just cant get it right haha. So we shall flex the American pride there and our great food capabilities:)) And that night Elder Kuntz and Fredberg taught a lesson in Danish while I worked on Facebook with Elder Kimball and that was pretty fun. Been getting to do lots of work with elder Kimball lately and he's a way cool guy... so that has been way fun!

Friday was a really busy day and a long day cause we were waiting for our transfer calls to come in. We had splits with the zone leaders so we had some good Facebook finding blocks together looking for new people and messaging them. We did studies together and had a good language study as well. Elder Murtonen was way helpful cause he's a Fin... so we got some good help with that. We also had the chance to do some studies with Elder Aho as well who is a Fin who will be joining the mission. It's way fun as well cause I served in his ward when I served in Espoo and now he's joing our mission until the whole Corona thing blows over. But then president called us and he video called us this time as well which was new cause hes never done that Haha. But I will be getting transferred out of Pietarsaari/Jakobstad. My Swedish speaking days are over😕 but now my Finnish can get better haha. But I am getting transferred down south to a city called Turku! I'll be serving with Elder Larson whom I have never met.... and I'll be district leader in Turku as well. Sad to think that this is most likely my last city I will get to serve in... and then they are gonna kick me out of Finland. But that was the biggest thing from Friday.... that I was getting transferred.

Saturday we and Elder Kuntz went out so I could show him more of the city and how to get places. So we biked around for quite a bit going around a good portion of the city so Elder Kuntz would have a better idea of how to get around. Then we came back and we had some lunch and studies. We went to the church to work on an email for some friends we were teaching because the phones were not really wanting to cooperate with us that day Haha. And we came back and started making dinner and also had gospel study with the Oulu ZLs and the Oulu sisters. That night we called and talked with Jenni and set up a time that we could meet with her. And also funny story we were on the phone with Sister Aura and she always video calls so she can see us. Well at the end of our phone call I asked if she had any ideas of how to stretch this certain spot in my back. Not knowing this would start like a whole yoga session with her Haha. I got some really good stretches to help stretch the spots that were a little sore. But she let us through some other stretches. It was really funny some of the things that happened were: " Elder kuntz do you feel that stretch in your back?" "Ummmm, yes.... actually no... am I supposed to feel something" and *Elder Love asks a question about how to do the stretch* Sister Auras reply "what? What in the world are you talking about?" Hahah it was hilarious haha. But that was a fun way to spend our Saturday night Haha.

Sunday we had church and then spent the rest of the day teaching lessons and saying good bye to members. We had a good meeting with Jenni. It was sad to say goodbye to Jenni after teaching her pretty consistently for 6 months. We became pretty good friends but hey at least we got Facebook to keep in touch with people!

Today we are just packing then off to Turku tomorrow!
